Last night I took Ethan and Brit to Downtown Laguna Beach and we did their e-shoot. Engagement shoot to the late person. :) We had a blast and got some awesome pictures... naturally. Throughout the entire night they wanted "sneak peek's" of their pictures, so I figured I would give them a little taste of what's to come. Hope you guys enjoy. Thanks Ethan and Britney for making the shoot fun and memorable.

Life throws randomness our way all the time. Random events, experiences, and especially random beauty. Most of the time we aren't paying attention and miss the excitement of it all. God has created a world full of this sporadic beauty and if we keep our eyes
and ears open to it, these things can be a huge blessing as we walk through life. This latest post is just a selection of random shots
depicting just a small portion of our God's creativity through my small observations.

Well, school has begun and I am now full swing into my classes. As many of you know I'm taking some photography classes at OCC, really photoshop classes, and I thought I would share my first project with you. The project is just to take a basic urban/ landscape shot using many exposure modes. Here is my all manual shot for my first project. Maybe you all can give me some feedback before I turn this thing into my teacher. Let me know.

Christmas break 2007 I went on a missions trip to Indonesia with the Vanguard University baseball team. It was, needless to say, one of the most amazing experience's of my life. We had a blast, and for the guys that went, built long lasting relationships. Indonesia is an incredibly beautiful country, but the thing that I'll remember the most from that trip has to be the people. Here are a collection of my favorite shots from that trip. Enjoy!

So I've spent a lot of time working to get my images larger on this new blog of mine. For those of you who stop by relatively often you'll notice that my blog is continually changing. Let's face it... I've come pretty far from the Leighton Photography days. Anyways, I finally figured out how I can put larger pictures on my blog. I'm pretty excited about the whole thing. Hope you enjoy the new and improved Beau Photo Blog. Thanks for stopping in.

I love taking pictures at night. There's just something different about the lighting... it might have something to do with the disappearance of the sun. I'm not really sure about that though. Anyways, whatever the reason, the lighting that can be found is always really cool. There is also a bonus. Many of you know that I find a sense of peace and comfort taking pictures and this is especially apparent at night. The silence is beautiful. Well, enough about that... enjoy the shots I got tonight. Let me know what you think.

So a couple months ago we had a family reunion up at my Aunt and Uncle's log cabin. Yes I said log cabin! Awesome huh? Well, yes it was awesome. For the most part I have been blessed with the opportunity to see a good majority of my family all the time. It's great! But this was an opportunity to see the rest of the people we don't see that often. Good food, good times, and of course great pictures. Sorry it took so long to post, but here are some shots from that wonderful day.

Many of the pictures I have posted are HDR shots, or High Dynamic Range shots. They are a collection of shots, usually five different exposures, fused together to make one richly exposed shot. I've been playing around with these shots and have really enjoyed the results. I hope my visitors to the site appreciate them as well. There will be more pictures to follow this HDR shot of the Balboa Pier. You can click on the pictures to view a larger, cleaner version.
